Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of the structures inside your body. It is a safe, non-invasive procedure with no exposure to radiation – commonly used in both pregnancy and paediatrics.
In musculoskeletal care, ultrasound is particularly useful for accurately visualising joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and nerves. This helps clinicians deliver highly targeted treatment
Why Choose Ultrasound-Guided Injections?
Precision
Ultrasound allows us to see exactly where the needle is going, ensuring accurate placement into the joint or soft tissue. This precision improves the effectiveness of the injection and minimises the risk of complications.
Safety
By viewing the needle in real time, we can avoid nearby structures such as blood vessels or nerves, reducing the risk of injury or unwanted side effects.
Higher Success Rates
With precise needle placement, medication is delivered exactly where it’s needed. Research has shown this increases the success rate of injections.
Better Patient Comfort
Fewer attempts are needed, which means less discomfort and anxiety during the procedure.
Greater Patient Satisfaction
Patients report more confidence and satisfaction following ultrasound-guided procedures, knowing the injection was delivered accurately.
